The Kickstarter is only 2-and-a-bit months away! If it wasn’t crunch-time before, it’s officially crunch-time now. The good news is that we do seem to be on track. The bad news is that two members of the team forgot to submit their weekly web-words for our Sunday update. This means your humble archdruid has had to speak for them.

It’s March! Or is it? Because the freezing temperatures and fresh snow in our neck of the woods would say otherwise. This, also, says otherwise. So what do you do when you don’t want to venture out into the frozen realm beyond the front door? You make games, you create web assets, you Tweet and Gram, and you keep on working towards that goal–to make a fucking awesome party game so that whether it’s winter or summer, you never want to leave the house again. But as the intro said, it’s crunch time, so if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got important work to do.

I’m getting ready to leave on an unrelated trip, and because of that, I decided I didn’t need to write anything for this week’s update, and I’m just going to leave it to Druid Crane instead. As for me, I’m just going to fucking get on a plane during crunch time and leave all my responsibilities to the rest of the team for at least a couple of weeks. Oh but it’s okay I won’t be doing anything fun, I’ll just be in goddamn actual Middle Earth. I have a small pee-pee.

So, as it turns out, I also didn’t write anything for this week’s update, which means like Magus Jeff, I’m also at the mercy of Druid Crane, and also have a small peen. However, I did have a busy week in preparation for Blank Me. Between getting things sorted for our local gaming store in advance of our March 11th visit (they graciously agreed to let us play with ourselves in front of the public, and ask passersby to join in), and making 3d mock-ups of the Blank Me game box, and getting a bunch of back-end workspace shit up and running, it’s been busy. But none of this supersedes the fact that I have a small wee-wee.

As the podcast continues to chug along, I went out and purchased a few ‘similar in subject matter’ games to deep dive: Death in Space by Christian Plogfors & Carl Niblaeus, and Paizo’s Starfinder beginner box. We are all veterans of v1 Pathfinder but Starfinder is something we have yet to delve. Should be fun. Death in Space is a glorious, compact ttrpg full of despair filled cosmic nightmares. The book itself is very stylish, and it’s great at evoking the right vibes. It’s got me feeling positively depressed. A+.
